What's with all the paparazzi-spurred car accidents lately?

According to reports, a paparazzo has been charged with misdemeanor hit-and-run by the Los Angeles Police Department, after allegedly ramming a security vehicle that was trailing Michael Jackson's three children and fleeing the scene without exchanging insurance information.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, as the Jackson children's nanny, Grace Rwararamba, was driving Prince, Paris and Blanket in a separate car to karate practice. The shutterbug, who was apparently trying to get a photo of the kids, allegedly rammed the security vehicle near a freeway on-ramp in Sherman Oaks, California, not far from Katherine Jackson's Encino home.

There were no injuries in the accident, but a hit-and-run report was filed at around 2:20 p.m. The name of the paparazzo has not been released.

No wonder Jackson was so adamant about protecting the kids' identity when he was alive...
