Poor Paris Hilton.

First she was robbed of a Golden Globes nomination for her cinematic masterpiece Repo: The Genetic Opera.

And now some ruffian has broken into the 27-year-old heiress/reality TV star's home and made off with a substantial amount of loot.

TMZ reports that a man in a hooded sweatshirt forcibly entered the front door of Hilton's Hollywood Hills pad this morning and rifled through her bedroom, making off with $2 million in jewelry and other valuables.

According to police, the My New BFF star wasn't home at the time.

Hilton was spotted last night at Los Angeles restaurant Osteria Mozza, attending Christina Aguilera's 28th birthday party. Paris' most recent ex-boyfriend, Benji Madden, was also in attendance.

And now, as it turns out, she wasn't home this morning? Hmm; there may be more than one mystery waiting to be solved here...
