Paris Hilton on Benji Madden: ‘I’m Still In Love’
Like a devastating earthquake knocking Planet Celebrity off balance, on Thursday Paris Hilton and Benji Madden announced that they’d broken up after dating for nine months.
However, Paris, 27, took to the airwaves Friday morning on Ryan Seacrest‘s KIIS-FM Los Angeles radio show to vent about the split.
“Right now, we’re just taking a break,” Hilton told Seacrest about her former Good Charlotte guitarist beau Benji, 29. “We’re really good friends. We’re very close.”
That may be true, but photos prove that the overexposed heiress had a very friendly reunion with her ex, 23-year-old Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, over the weekend in Miami.
“Ridiculous,” Paris shot back. “Someone must have gotten a quick camera phone picture of me just smiling and saying hello to someone I haven’t seen in a year.”
Back on the topic of Benji, the Repo! The Genetic Opera thespian gushed, “He’s been so great to me, so loyal. He is an incredible person, and we will always be really close. We’ll see what happens in the future. I’m still in love with him.”
But for those welling up over Paris’ lonely proclamations, fear not… she’s always got a shot at Prince William!
