Paris Hilton Finds ‘Generous’ in Dictionary
Believe it or not, as of yesterday, it’s been exactly a year since Paris Hilton was released from jail for antics related to her DUI charge. With her first taste of freedom, the blond socialite hit the press circuit, informing Larry King of her newfound interest in spirituality and vowing to become a more involved humanitarian.
Now, on the anniversary of her release, Hilton has made an “extremely generous” donation to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Paris said in a statement, “I am proud to make a donation and lend my name to the fundraising effort to help children who are facing terribly serious illnesses.”
Hilton’s contribution to the hospital will help in the construction of a 460,000-square-foot Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, with plans to open in 2010.
Lest anyone think this is uncharacteristically giving of Paris, let’s not forget that the woman has spent a lifetime donating her body to the advancement of the science of self-tanning.
I almost forgot she went to jail.
