Paris Hilton: As Modest as Ever

In an attempt to dissipate the geek-stink from her appearance at Comic-Con 2008, Paris Hilton took a course in retail immersion at Robertson Boulevard boutique Diavolina this weekend.

Accompanied by her guard dog, Marilyn Monroe (probably not acquired from a certain Los Angeles pet store), Hilton seems to have cleaned out half the store's stock.

Hilton might have been buying herself a present or 20 to celebrate her new-found sense of maturity. She recently told People, "I just feel like a grown-up now" thanks to her relationship with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.

"I think my whole life I was kind of living as a teenager and not really taking responsibility," Hilton told the mag. "Now I realize that I'm an adult and I'm running a huge company and I'm in love. I'm in a great relationship. I have my family."

Clearly, Hilton is sincere about transitioning into adulthood. She even carried her own bags out of the store and everything.

That dog needs a Prozac. Paris Hilton looks just like this girl I broke up with because I always felt like I'd accidentally glued one of her eyes half shut. And that made me feel guilty. And I cannot live with guilt.
