Paula Abdul Pranked By Bruno

Apr 30, 2009 at 1:45pm

As if we needed any more incentive to see  Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt when it opens on July 10, the New York Post reports that terminally ditzy American Idol judge Paula Abdul is one of the victims of funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen‘s comedic set-ups.

Posing as fabulously gay Austrian TV reporter Bruno, Cohen set up an interview wih Abdul and, according to a source, completely pulled one over on her.

“Paula was totally fooled,” the source says. “She bought into his character and to this day isn’t aware she was fooled.”

Should be hilarious. Even so, it seems like Cohen reached for the low-hanging fruit on this one? After all, Paula is probably still “totally fooled” by the old “got your nose” bit.

Have  your say in the comments section: Are you excited to see Bruno when it hits theaters?
