Pack Snacks

Whatever you do, don’t skip meals to lose weight — and no matter how busy you are, don’t forget to eat every few hours. Don’t let yourself get too hungry, or you’re more likely to give in to temptation and overeat at your next meal, says McGee. To avoid getting too hungry, McGee suggests keeping an Altoid container of raw almonds, pecans or walnuts in your purse to “snack on mid-morning, mid-day or right before you go out, so you aren’t light-headed or starving and then eat everything served to you later.”
