Penelope Cruz Spices Up 'Elegy' Premiere

Penelope Cruz appears to be working out issues through her movie choices.

Last night she joined her Elegy co-stars Peter Sarsgaard, Patricia Clarkson and Dennis Hopper on the red carpet at the flick's premiere in New York.

Cruz, 34, plays a student who gets down and dirty with Ben Kingsley, 64, her teacher. Clearly this will be the teen date movie of 2008.

Meanwhile, Monday night the Spanish beauty hit up the premiere of Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona. In this movie, her character tongue-wrestles with Scarlett Johansson.

This must be what dating Tom Cruise does to an actress. Complete and utter sexual confusion.

Incidentally, Penelope co-stars with Nicole Kidman, another Tom Cruise ex, in the upcoming musical Nine.
