Page Six reports that when Gossip girl Blake Lively‘s father Ernie was in a car accident on Monday, her boyfriend and 90210 girl avoider Penn Badgley immediately flew with her to Los Angeles from  New York City to comfort her in her time of need.

Now that’s a boyfriend.

Blake had to cancel a number of social engagements in NYC, including her hosting duties at the Saks Fifth Avenue party at Top of the Rock.

But her Dad ended up “doing just fine.”

And perhaps, once Blake and Penn learned Dad was okay, they enjoyed some California sunshine, or found a hot bingo game.
