Pete and Ashlee Wentz Host Sin City New Year’s Bash
In a move that says the new family is already working well as a team, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz will host an extravagant New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas.
Hotspot Pure Nightclub has tapped the famous couple to help party people the world over ring in 2009, nearly six weeks after the birth of their first child, son Bronx Mowgli.
24-year-old Ashlee will have Thanksgiving and Christmas as tent-poles for losing that baby weight (not the ideal time of year), but surely she’ll turn it around with the help of her stylish hubby, 29-year-old Pete.
Pure, with high-profile investors like Celine Dion and Shaquille O’Neal, is often able to pull major celebrities to host major holiday events. Past New Year’s party hosts include Mariah Carey and Pamela Anderson.
Festivities planned for the Wentz-Simpson evening include extravagant midnight fireworks.
After going out with a bang in the west, Pete and Ash might not see Vegas soon again.
The couple are reportedly moving to New York’s Brooklyn borough in the spring to raise little Bronx.
