Pete Wentz to Pay for Hitting Heckler?

The guy asked for it. That's the tack Pete Wentz is taking in defense of a lawsuit by former fan Andy Kallas. The complaint, filed in Cook County, Illinois, alleges the wispy emo rocker, without authorization and provocation, by physical force did strike, kick and beat him, resulting in "serious injuries to his head, mouth and face."

And lest you think tiny guyliner-wearing babelies are harmless, Kallas' attorney begs to differ: "Even small people who get the first blow can still do some damage," he tells E! News.

At the crux of the suit is a concert exchange that reportedly escalated to a beatdown by the Fall Out Boy's posse, after repeated heckling during the show.

Pete plans on fighting the charges tooth and French-manicured nail, issuing a statement saying, "This case is meritless. We looked into it and the facts don't support his claims. We will vigorously defend this case in court."

At the time of the incident, Pete wrote in an email to MTV News that after hours of goading during the FOB show, "on the way out the door, I had to pass directly next to the guy, and I knew it, so I kept my head down. As I did, the guy reached out and grabbed me."

Hey, man, the hater was calling Pete a sellout and ripping on lady love Ashlee Simpson. He even lambasted his plethora of brand-name hoodies, and that was that. No one messes with the Wentz hoodies!
