The Sun reports that, after a tumultuous existence capped off by a suicide attempt in 2005, gay marriage hero Pete Wentz raves about how his pregnant wife Ashlee Simpson is the one who keeps him steady.

Pete described her as his "rock."

"My wife has brought a balance to my life that I could never have described to anyone. She’s the giant beam that I walk across and holds me up. But she’s also my safety net in case I fall. Being married has changed my life more than I could have imagined."

Ashlee is reportedly due any day now.

This is starting to sound like an Angelina Jolie/Clint Eastwood thing!
