Caring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited the homes of Iraqi refugees in Syria and urged the world not to forget their plight. Hollywood superstar and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina and Brad made a day-long visit to meet refugees in the poorest suburbs of the Syrian capital Damascus. And she warned they still need help and support as they cannot return to their home country, despite the relative improvement in security there. Angelina, who visited Damascus in 2007 in her role with the UN's refugee agency, said: "Most Iraqi refugees cannot return to Iraq in view of the severe trauma they experienced there, the uncertainty linked to the coming Iraqi elections, the security issues and the lack of basic services. They will, therefore, be in need of continued support from the international community." Angelina and Brad were welcomed into the homes of two Iraqi families. 10/2/09
