After the tragic year she's had, Jessica Simpson could use a reason to smile. And Friday night, she got it.

The Dukes of Hazzard actress was on hand at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills for the 8th Annual Operation Smile Gala.

Operation Smile provides surgery for children with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities worldwide. This year Simpson, along with parents Joe and Tina, were honored with the Operation Smile Founders Circle Award.
