Madonna added to the long list of ground-breaking moments of her life today—quite literally.

The Material Mom was in the Namitete area of Malawi on Thursday for the  ground-breaking ceremony  for the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, which the singer is building via her Raising Malawi charitable foundation.

Madonna also visited the Mphandula Orphanage, accompanied by her children, Lourdes Leon, Mercy and David—the latter two of whom she adopted from Malawi.

    Commented on this photo gallery: I bet those sunglasses could pay for some good education or food or shelter... WTF with the purse? I hope there are some crayons in there. If they happen to have flown on a particular airline, they may both be escorted off the plane with that outburst. HA. (I know she has her own fleet of everything)
