He might be shooting to stardom with the release of Conan and his role as Khal Drogo on HBO's Game of Thrones, but he made it onto every sci-fi lovers radar when he starred as Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis for five seasons. During his time on Stargate , Momoa sported long dreads, but he decided to shave off his head and wear a wig for the fifth season because "after six-plus years, my head and neck were starting to hurt a lot."
