A highlight of Queen Elizabeth's 1977 silver jubilee, marking her 25th anniversary on the throne, was to be a boat trip down the Thames River in London. The Sex Pistols lampooned the event with a Thames trip of their own, during which they blasted a live version of their new anti-monarchy anthem "God Save the Queen." The voyage ended in chaos and arrests.
