If artists indeed go through phases – much like Picasso’s famed “Blue Period” – then there was a time when Hollywood would be damned if it couldn’t squeeze Arnold into a comedy. Kindergarten Cop was most likely the high-water mark in a series of comedies also including Junior (in which he played a pregnant man) and Twins (in which he co-starred as the brother of Danny DeVito). Here, he plays an undercover cop who must pose as a kindergarten teacher to flush out a drug dealer.
