I've never suffered from pusoparttm depression (no kids yet), nor have I ever personally known someone who has, but I totally sympathize with these women. Having a baby brings so many changes that can be extremely difficult to deal with (I imagine). Women feel so much pressure to be the perfect mother, perfect wife, and perfect woman, while at the same time staying true to themselves. And I'm not sure it's possible to do all of those things at the same time. Combine that feeling of failure or inadequacy with the exhaustion of raising a newborn and depression makes total sense. This is definitely something that should be talked about. If women are aware that this happens, even to normal moms, then they'll know they're not alone and they'll know that there is help for them.
