Channing Tatum: 6 Favorite Film Roles
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009)
This adaptation of the Hasbro toyline isn’t the worst summer movie ever made, but it’s definitely its cousin. One of the few bright points in this effects-heavy actioner is Tatum as Duke, the leader of the Joes. He never takes the awkwardly-plotted story too seriously, and always grounds the action with a believable screen presence You completely buy him as a badass, thanks in large part to him giving the material more than it deserves.
