I think the poster was bemoaning the fact that she wouldn’t have a chance with him. Most people will never have a shot with their celebrity crushes, but knowing that their sexual orientation automatically excludes you can lead to the “too bad” comments. It’s similar to “too bad (x) is married.” It’s not an attack on gay people, or married people, it’s expressing disappointment that the unlikely event that you will ever hit that is even less likely.
