The N-Word: It may be apt for a movie set in the slaveowning South to have characters drop the n-word more than 100 times, but that doesn't make the word any less jarring for modern audiences to hear -- or for the actors to use. On the set, Samuel L. Jackson reportedly told a squeamish Leonardo DiCaprio, "Get over this." Tarantino has often been criticized for frequent use of the n-word in his dialogue, but Jackson, who has starred in several Tarantino movies, has said there's nothing wrong with putting that word in a script as long as you know how to use it. "And Quentin knows how to use it," Jackson said.
