Golden Globe Nominations 2013: Snubs and Surprises
It looks like the Hollywood Foreign Press Association didn't love "Beasts of the Southern Wild" as much as the critics did. Despite scoring rave reviews for her portrayal of Hushpuppy, a little girl who embarks on a big adventure, 8-year-old Quvenzhané Wallis didn't make the final list of nominees. However, that doesn't mean the Academy won't be smitten with the small indie flick. In fact, "Beasts of the Southern Wild" is everything the Oscars love: a no-budget journey of self-discovery led by a then-5-year-old.
