Happy Birthday, Ellen!
During the summer of 2003, Ellen leant her voice to the role of Dory, everyone’s favorite forgetful fish, in the hit animated Disney/Pixar film, Finding Nemo. The part was specifically written for her to play, with the movie’s director claiming that, because Ellen was constantly changing the subject “before one sentence had finished,” she was the absolute perfect Dory. And her hard work and hysterical antics definitely pulled off! For her performance, Ellen won the Saturn Award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films for "Best Supporting Actress"; "Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie" from the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards; and the Annie Award from the International Animated Film Association for "Outstanding Voice Acting."
