Happy Birthday, Quentin Tarantino!

  • Happy Birthday, Quentin Tarantino!
After the success of Reservoir Dogs, Tarantino was approached by just about everyone in Hollywood, offering him tons of projects to work on (including Speed and Men in Black).  But instead, Tarantino took off for Amsterdam to work on his next big script: Pulp Fiction. Widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time, Tarantino won an Academy Award for Best Writing for the 1994 movie.  Tarantino was so dead set on casting Uma Thurman for the role of Mia Wallace that he convinced her to take the job by reading her the script over the phone. Lucky for him, she said yes, and the final product was met with some serious applause…and over $200 million in grosses.
