The iPod

We wouldn’t exactly call the days of bulky boom boxes and scratched CDs the good ol’ days. So it’s no surprise that we welcomed the switch to digital content delivery with open arms—and by that, we mean the iPod. The easy-to-use, and more importantly, incredibly portable media player was first released in 2001, and by 2006, Apple had sold over 41 million units. Almost 12 years later, and we couldn’t imagine our lives without it, especially when we have the opportunity to choose between the iPod Shuffle, the Nano, the Touch, and the classic iPod. CD players are so 20th Century.
