Dick ClarkThe beloved TV and radio personality, who won the nation’s hearts as the longtime host of “American Bandstand”, died of a heart attack on April 18 at the age of 82. Clark is credited with exposing the world to some of the greatest recording artists, such as Stevie Wonder and Tina Turner. It wont be easy to kick off our first “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” without the icon himself, but his protégé, Ryan Seacrest, promises the night will celebrate his honor. Clark’s legacy lives on in his entertainment production company, Dick Clark Productions, and the many stars he created.
