Out of Sight (1998)
If there’s a list out there of “Most Underrated Movies of All Time”, Out of Sight has to be very near the top. This perfect adaptation of Elmore Leonard’s sexy pulp novel centers on Foley, an affable bank robber played by George Clooney, who breaks out of prison only to find himself locked in the trunk of his getaway car with U.S. Marshall Karen Sisco (Lopez). Sparks figuratively fly between the two leads in your typical Elmore Leonard fashion, as the cop falls in love with her robber. Sight boasts not only Lopez’s best performance (fact), but also career highpoints for Clooney and director Steven Soderbergh.
