Justin Bieber brushed up on his Japanese as he launched his album with fans at the Tower Records store in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
The 16-year-old star greeted his fans saying "Konnichiwa" (greetings), "cho kawaii" (very cute), and "daisuki" (I like very much) after spending the morning learning phrases with a Japanese tutor.
Earlier in the day the pop sensation and his father had a private lesson in the basics of the language.
He Tweeted from his hotel: "Had some japanese lessons today...this place is awesome."
The singer is on a whirlwind tour of The Land Of the Rising Sun to promote his album, which will be called 'My Worlds' in Japan, 5/18/10.
