I have had the good fortune to work in all three enntnormevis. Sadly, my last position was at a firm that thrived by creating a Vampire Environment. It was one of the worst career moves. However, I needed the job and benefits and live in a state which ranks 47 out of 50 when it comes to job creation. That's how companies get away with the vampire environment, by operating in areas where jobs are very scarce and where hundreds of applicants line up for just a chance at work. I'm well educated and have 30 years experience, but when the market tanked, everyone became another cow in the herd at the cattle-call. I'm currently unemployed and trying to hang on until I find a better work environment. The last one damned near killed me and I was in management. I'm better off losing everything than working in a place like that again.
