August 2005: When the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency retested from Armstrong’s blood samples from 1999, “all six were flaming positive,” the USADA head Travis Tygart tells 60 Minutes, explaining that “there was no test for EPO,” performance-enhancing drug erythropoietin, at the time the samples were originally taken. But still, Armstrong sticks to his denial. “I have never doped. I can say it again, but I’ve said it for seven years and it doesn’t help,” Armstrong tells CNN. “But the fact of the matter is I haven’t.”
