SCDP Loses Lucky Strike

  • SCDP Loses Lucky Strike
Sterling Cooper Draper Price experienced a number of blows over the season - among them, the NAA account that Pete lost to protect Don's true identity from being revealed through government background checks. But no blow was bigger than when Roger lost the company's biggest account, Lucky Strike, to rival agency BBDO. The incident later inspires Don to pull a 'Jerry Maguire' moment, in which he takes out a full-page ad in the New York Times to tell everyone that SCDP will no longer be advertising cigarettes.

It should read "...SCDP will no longer be representing cigarette companies." Agencies don't advertise, they create advertisements. Companies advertise in media.
