After 50 years, Daniel Craig may be the best thing to happen to Bond. With Skyfall, the highest-grossing Bond movie ever, Craig has forever silenced the naysayers who believed he wasn’t right for 007 in such a way that, now, no one can imagine anyone else playing the superspy. As good as Craig is with the action, he is even better with the emotional demands of the new Bond era – a quality that has helped the A-Lister land a key role in 2013’s WWII thriller, The Monuments Men, opposite George Clooney and Matt Damon. Like most Bond actors, Craig’s career will be defined by his stint as 007 and everything after. Unlike most Bond actors, however, that “everything after” part is poised to be just as noteworthy for Craig as his stint with MI6.
