Katniss Everdeen is the protagonist of the Hunger Games trilogy. After her sister, Prim, is chosen to participate in the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss volunteers to take her place. Going into the games, she is most skilled at hunting with bows and arrows and navigating through the woods.
