In 2006, Mo'Nique boarded a United Airlines flight and was seated in first class. The actress' stylist, who was seated in coach, reportedly tried to stow a hairdryer in Mo'Nique's first class bin. However, several flight attendants allegedly refused to believe the hairdryer belonged to the actress and the Academy Award winner lost her patience. She was then escorted back to the gate at Chicago's O'Hare Airport and the airline crew called the police, complaining of a "disgruntled and belligerent passenger." Mo'Nique called the experience "humiliating," according to the New York Daily News. "I felt like I was being treated like an animal."
