All alone. No one home. WOW! I remember a frenid in high school saying that that was her number one middle school issue coming home to an empty house with all of her day inside her and her mom and dad at work ’til late. Drove her crazy not to be able to share. She was like a forty year old woman when she was sixteen had already been through a lot. Also, I think the witness’ to bullying is so important because if the witness does nothing to act/speak her mind, then she contributes to her own low self-esteem for knowing she should do something and then not. I think that every time our daughters speak up for what they really believe in/offer their earnest opinion, we need to praise, praise, praise for having the guts to sometimes separate themselves from the crowd and be different. I learned this lesson much too late in life wish I’d been armored with it earlier.
