Singers Silenced By Vocal Issues
In late October 2011, John Mayer went on a month-long vocal rest after going under the knife to remove a granuloma in his throat. While the bluesy singer-songwriter looked forward to getting back on stage in 2012, his dreams were dashed when his condition returned in March, forcing him to cancel his 21-city summer tour. "I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing," he wrote on his Tumblr blog at the time. "I'm completely bummed."
