1. blah

There sure are a lot of reality show “stars”. Scraping the bottom of the barrel…

  2. Steve

This is such a joke. Most of these ‘stars’ are so nobody that it’s truly lame. But why should we even take them seriously? It’s just a reminder of how out of step with America, Hollywood really is.

The fact theyre out supporting a noble cause is big enough, if you only look at the larger picture here.
Also, th fact that theyve been approached to do this campaign obviously puts them in a celebrity like position, above YOU anyday, but theyre not here for attention, they get plenty of that anyway.
Theyre here to support a genuine cause, theyve got the heart and theyve got the balls.
You however, seem to have neither.
Grow a pair and step out and be a man, go on.

  4. Kyle

This isn’t about “how big a star can we land?” it’s about standing up for gay rights. Who cares if Ashlee Simpson and Kim Kardashian aren’t A-List’ers? They want to lend their image to a good cause and that’s noble enough for me.

  5. jon

this is really too much. Had the vote went the other way and gays were allowed to marry, and people who did not support it started up all this stuff. We would all be told the country spoke get over it.

So i will say this. you are allowed to marry just like every one else. men marry women and women marry men.

Any “Christian” star who supported this campaign. Is not a Christian and they need to reevaluate their faith.

so with all due respect. America voted. America defined marriage as one man and one women. America and Americans have spoke, please get over it.

take all the effort you are putting into this and put it into stuff like great groups. Such as stand up to cancer or the lance Armstrong foundation.

  6. jon

this is not a good cause.

fighting cancer, or birthdefects. stopping hunger, helping families eat. those area good cause. this whole thing is a joke.

    america voted. sorry you lost.

It’s enough for me too. I had my NoH8 photo taken and I’m not famous at all. Every Face Counts. http://www.noh8camapaign.com

  8. Julie

Oh.. and I’m a cancer survivor too, so shut up, jon.
    http://www.noh8campaign.com

  9. Julie

AND I’ll be volunteering to feed hungry families at my local church on Thanksgiving instead of sitting on my barcalounger and watching football. So seriously, shut up, jon.

  10. Julie

Oh, and one more thing. I’m NOT gay.
    Organised religion invented marriage.
    MAN invented organised religion.
So, jon, your opinions are based on a humanly-flawed system.
If we ALL don’t have equal rights, then none of us do.

Who really cares if they’re “stars” or not? Does this HAVE to be a popularity contest. They are people and i don’t give a crap who’s more famous or who’s a “real” celeb. They support something that is a GREAT cause and really shouldn’t even be an issue. I think it’s soo sad that it is, but while it is i’m glad to see more people supporting it. And also religion is irrelevant to this debate as long as there are non-religious people like ATHEISTS getting married. Just cuz you aren’t religious doesn’t make you a bad person. Everyone should be allowed to marry who they chose. It’s just a right everyone should have and it should never have been an issue.

oh and it’s a joke huh? human rights are a joke? WOW. That’s one of the most ignorant things i’ve ever heard.
Yeah those things are VERY important too, it’s not like the people who support this have no heart. We would all probably donate to those too, but aren’t human rights also important? so would you say that women and blacks fighting for their rights weren’t important? like they were inferior to every other problem this world has? No, it’s all important. not everything is a contest, not everything needs to be better or worse than something else.
Diseases and human rights are two separate things so it’s strange that you would even bring that up. I have relatives with/have already died from cancer, i sure as hell care about that. but i just wish friends and family friends or mine had their basic right to marry the person they love. it’s something that is so simple but for some reason so controversial. i don’t see why. it’s sad and pathetic.

  12. jon

    julie….

    wow, as a cancer survivor….

i am glad to see you have survived…that is awesome.

so please tell me then how gay’s having a chance to marry is mor important then the husband or wife dying of cancer who can’t get treatment.

so please explain to me how much more important the gay marriage issue it to the husband who lost his job and in order to get health insurance for his wife who is dying of cancer had to join the army.

or the women who has a brain tumor who has lost a job and husband had to quit work to take care of her. can’t get treatment either cause of no health insurance.

please explain to her to child why mommy dying is sad, however gays’ can marry….

julie-”shut up” grow up and have a conversation.

glad you have survived cancer- what you went through no one should have to deal with that ever. what your family went through no one should ever deal with that ever.

what you went through is a noble cause to support.

    this is a joke.

america voted and said NO! so lets move on

  13. Rianna

This ‘Jon’ person makes me sick. It is a good cause. It may not be a charity, which it shouldn’t be, and that’s what I think you’ve got in your head. It’s just people bringing awareness to equality, which is ALWAYS something worth fighting for.

  14. reason

America did not vote no. California did. Many states have voted yes. Are they not part of America?

As for the “christians” who tell us what’s in their man made bible and don’t know the history of marriage, that it was invented by man and only in the past 90 years or so people married for love. In many cases marriage was a trade, a woman in exchange for any/or property, goods, livestock, land, political reasons and money. It was a business transaction.

So it’s only been about the last 80 years or so people married for love, but still some marry for money, security, social status….so how are you going to stop those people from getting married for the wrong reasons. How will you even know who they are? I’m a woman married to my husband happily for 16 years, but we don’t have or want children. Does that make us any less married?

“Christians” who are you to impose your beliefs on others, when you refuse to ignore or learn about those beliefs. You many believe it’s between a man and woman, but who are you to rule other people’s lives? And if you believe they are wrong or will go to hell or whatever fantasies you have, well…it’s their life.

Gay people are all around you. Gay marriage has been allowed here for years. I’ve only known about it for about 2 of those years. So there were many years gays were getting married…..and it didn’t affect me or my marriage whatsoever. It didn’t threaten my marriage at all. You see Christ means love to me, and just because 2 people may be in love but have the same sex organs….who cares? It’s still love.

America never voted, CALIFORNIA voted. Many states allow gay marriage. So, while you’re entitled to your opinion, saying that AMERICA voted is moronic.

And, as a Christian I agree that it’s against our religion’s teachings. But as an American I have to realize that we’re denying basic rights to certain people just because they don’t match our religious views– name ONE secular reason gays shouldn’t be allowed to marry.
