Work Out Harder
Kristin McGee, a well-known ACE-certified celebrity trainer who works with Tina Fey, Bethenny Frankel and LeAnne Rimes encourages her clients to get the most out of their time at the gym. McGee advises her A-list clients to add high intensity intervals to their cardio workouts to scorch mega calories in less time. Incorporating intervals into your sweat sesh can be as simple as adding little bursts of all-out sprints to your regular cardio routine.
McGee outlined a quick starter routine to that you can adapt to any type of cardio:
- Start walking at a normal pace.
- Imagine you are running late for a bus and sprint for 20-30 seconds.
- Walk again for 1 minute then sprint again for 20-30 seconds. (Eventually you can make the sprint portion longer to burn even more calories.)
- Repeat 6-8 times.
