Plastic Surgery: Self-Improvement or Science Run Amok?

on Jan. 9, 2009 05:50 PM / 2 Comments

Plastic surgery can be a godsend—say, if your face has recently been fed into a wood chipper and you need it reconstructed.

But, as Joan and Melissa Rivers should be able to tell you, the surgeon's scalpel is a double-edged sword.  For every deformed feature made palatable by the work of a compassionate doctor, there's a monstrosity created thanks to overzealous pursuit of surgery-enabled perfection.

Head on over to The Superficial's gallery of the world's worst celebrity plastic surgery disasters.

But be forewarned; after viewing the gruesome gallery, you just might want to go under the knife yourself—to have your eyes removed.

Great article! Thank you for putting it together. Potential patients will be better served going with a service like The Patients Advantage (www.ThePatientsAdvantage.com). It's a great way to find the best surgeons and it does not cost anything. I found them when searching for plastic surgeons. Check them out.
