Emma Watson Packs on Keira Knightley's Pounds

Bony actress Keira Knightley has long denied anorexia speculation in the press.

But the 23-year-old actress has suffered a sudden and painful, 3 million-pound weight loss that cannot be hidden.

The Chanel fashion house has replaced Keira as its spokeswoman with Emma Watson from the Harry Potter films. The 18-year-old—who exudes health and wholesome vitality along with her surface beauty—just signed a hefty $6 million contract.

Playwright Sharman Macdonald, Keira Knightley's mom, is trying to dispel rumors started by "playground bullies" that the slender actress has an eating disorder.

"She has always been thin. She's her daddy's daughter, with his long body," she told the Daily Mail.

Macdonald claims that Keira "eats like a horse." That must be some low-fat hay.

"It's a playground situation that we're looking at with the Press—it's a form of bullying—but what can we do?" Sharman says about the rumors.

Keira herself echoes her mom's sentiments. She says that she's tried to pack on the pounds to no avail.

"I went to the doctor to be checked out and asked him what I could do to put on weight. He told me that, for someone of my body type to get to a size 12, I would have to eat a lot of s*** food, stop exercising and drink loads. There is nothing I can do about it," she says.

Anorexia or not, Chanel has traded the twiglike waif for a fresher face.

So thin might not necessarily be in anymore, but youth always is.
