It's over. The supercouple that was once Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are officially divorced, living on now only in the sweet faces of kids Ava and Deacon.

Ryan has moved on to Aussie actress Abbie Cornish, escorting her publicly for the first time to the 2008 Australian in Film Breakthrough Awards. "They were adorable," a source told People magazine. "He had his arm around her, and they were cozy and comfortable," cuddling through the entire ceremony.

And Reese...oh, how Reese has soldiered on, capturing the heart of beloved-by-gays pretty boy Jake Gyllenhaal. Their courtship has given the world hours and hours of tabloid merriment.

But this post doesn't concern new hookups. Instead, we look back at a great love that is no more.

It seems like Ryan waited quite a bit before moving forward with this publicly. I have to say whatever he may have done, he's done a good job of keeping his shit pretty private and I tip my hat to him at the same time as I clench my fist in frustration at my inability to squeeze more gossip out of him.

    When they split up it was a real shocker - they were really one of the cutest couples ever. And their kids are mini-me's of their parents, too cute
