Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal: Secret Gays!

Maybe it's because of his compelling portrait as a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain, but 28-year-old Jake Gyllenhaal's rise to fame has been followed with intense whispers that he might in fact be gay. His role as a sword master in the currently filming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has done little to dispel the speculation. Neither will these photos of Jake with his so-called girlfriend, Reese Witherspoon, 32.

The couple, who supposedly hooked up on the set of 2007's Rendition, were caught stocking up on essentials over the weekend at an Ojai, California, farmers market. An enclave of artistic semi-recluses north of Los Angeles, Ojai was home to Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Heche back when Anne was gay. Not that there's anything intrinsically gay with Ojai.

But there is something decidedly same-sex affiliated about couples who go out in public dressed in identical outfits, especially when that outfit is topped off with a watchman's cap.

Academy Award-winner Reese is no doubt the one at fault for the wardrobe duplication. After her character's swirl of travel from family to family in Four Christmases, she's just desperate for someone with a steady style to follow.

And since Jake beefed up for Prince of Persia, his style has been rock-hard steady.
