That whole $700 billion government financial bailout thing? Crikey, folks, get your priorities in order... Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are drifting apart!!!

Well, according to Star they are, at least.

Jake's still off in London shooting Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. Geez, how long's it gonna take to wrap that future flop?

Apparently, though, he's all work and no play while Reese is stuck back in the States.

"This is his first epic, and his mind is on his work," a Reese pal snitches to the tabloid. "They talk on the phone and e-mail, but he's not 'there.' Reese is wondering if this is how it's going to be between them every time he's out of the country filming."

Wonder what else he's up to while he's not 'there,' eh, Reese? Wink-wink!

In an attempt to get close again, Reese apparently flew to London last month to be with Jake for a week. "They really needed to reconnect and remember why they were in a relationship in the first place," says another pal.

And, hey, with friends like that—who go ratting out details of your private life for a quick buck—who needs enemies?

But they could terminate the fauxmance contract, Jake and Reese are making a fool of themselves long enough.
