Here's Reese Witherspoon, 32, house-hunting in NYC!

Accompanied by an unidentified friend (or realtor), Reese snacked on a cookie from the Milk and Cookies bakery while looking for homes in the West Village area.

Witherspoon was ready for the impending cold weather in a long winter coat and sturdy but fashionable brown boots.

Isn't looking for a new home something she should be doing with boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal?

After all, if he's going to be staying there frequently, shouldn't he have a say?

Or do her plans to not marry Jake anytime soon indicate a need for some alone time?

Jake should take some comfort, though. She's definitely not shacking up with Four Christmases co-star Vince Vaughn.
