Reese’s Pieces on Display During Romantic Date with Jake
Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal may be trying to keep their relationship on the downlow, but Reese seemed ready to reveal plenty as the pair surrendered to the oppressive heat on a Malibu beach yesterday.
The, uh, increasingly curvy Legally Blonde star donned a skimpy blue bikini for her romantic outing with the Brokeback Mountain-eer. The two were joined by Reese’s pooch Coco and Jake’s German Shepherd, Atticus. Conspicuously absent: Reese’s two kids, Ava and Deacon.
Hmm; perhaps the two left the tots at home because they have some serious business to discuss. According to OK! magazine, the couple, who began dating in March 2007, are edging ever closer to the altar.
The magazine quotes a source close to Witherspoon as saying, “They’ve been talking marriage for a while now…[t]hey’ll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together.”
Reese’s friend hastened to add that the pair likely won’t be shacking up and growing babies before their nuptials, stating, “Reese is very conservative and traditional.”
So, she probably won’t be wearing the bikini at the wedding ceremony, then? Dang. At least tell us that Atticus and Coco will be the ring-bearers.
