It's no surprise when two young Hollywood up-and-comers hook up; so people barely noticed when Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal got together back in 2002. They were just getting started in the biz.

The two were introduced by Jake's not-so-shy sister Maggie Gyllenhaal, who appeared in Mona Lisa Smile with troubled actress Dunst.

Jake and the Dunst's relationship was strong for a couple years, but Kiki's hot career and busy schedule caused the pair to break up in July of 2004.  

The break-up reportedly left poor Jakey devastated, but he got the good end of the deal. He's now dating one of the hottest women in Hollywood, Reese Witherspoon, while Dunst is left hanging out with—except when she denies it—Justin Long.

    Mandy ITA. Reese is not hot, Kirsten is more interesting than Reese will ever be and Jake is in a real relationship no one sees. "Jake and Reese" is all fiction written by PR.
