Remember When: RPattz Was in Harry Potter?

While the epic vampire romance flick Twilight hurtled Robert Pattinson into a fame-and-fortune frenzy, the British actor has been around for quite some time!

His earliest fans remember his role as Cedric Diggory in two seperate Harry Potter flicks: 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and 2007's Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. He ultimately fell to his death at the hands of Lord Voldemort (damn him!), but that didn't stopped him from becoming one of today's biggest heart-throbs!

While his role wasn't huge, his star power instantly attracted millions of fans across the world. And those millions? They have formed into insane, Pattinson-crazy legions! And, yeah, it's only going to get worse with New Moon's release in the not-so-distant future.

What does Pattinson say about his transition from wizards to vampires? He has explained that playing Edward is "more substantial...mainly because the entire thing is based on Edward's character and who he is. He is very tortured and conflicted, which is very different from what I played in 'Harry Potter.' But it's a completely different style of book."

personally, i like rob as himself. he is so quirky, smart, talented, genuine, oh, and, it doesn't need to be said, handsome. but, honestly, he just seems like a sweet, funny, kind person. that is the rob i like.

I don't even think Rob looks like Edward in real life..which is the way it is supposed to be. Makeup, hairstyle, wardrobe, right? People are transferring Edward to Rob. People have forgotten that actors are actors and their work is being different people. Girls who are in love with Rob are missing the boat: he isn't like Edward. He might be a real jerk.

I think that Rob could do any role that Hollywood throws at him. He seems to be a talented, smart, genuine guy. Course, that is an understatement.

I absolutely hate all of these websites claiming tat Rob Pattinson was in Order of the Phoenix. He was NOT. His character was only in Goblet of Fire, in which he is killed at the end.

Definitely prefer Cedric to Edward. He was cute in Harry Potter, and added to the movie.. Mainly i just hope he gets a few good roles in the future where he can branch out and be something other than good-looking and dead.

I loved him in Harry Potter, but he wasnt really in the Order of the Phoenix, just like a 4 second flashback. But the Goblet of fire was great, and I cried when Lord Voldamoret killed him =(.
Twilight was WAY better though, and he plays way better as a vampire! Plus he was in it more! I think he's a great actor, and I love him in everything he's in....

i think that rob did good in all his movies and yes his edward character was more complex and he played it beautifuly i think he brought more to the character than what it called for and i think that was good idea for the movie, as cedric he played him to a T and did a great job of i have read all the hp books and from what I remember he was a great cedric even though rob did not like te character he did a great job.
