Report: Brittany Murphy Was “In and Out of Consciousness” on Recent Film Shoot
As the world still struggles to absorb the tragic death of Brittany Murphy in Los Angeles on Sunday at the age of 32, details are beginning to emerge about the last troubled days of the Clueless actress.
The Wrap reports that, in addition to being replaced by Twilight actress Rachelle Lefevre for undisclosed reasons in the upcoming thriller The Caller a couple of weeks ago, Murphy exhibited troubling behavior on the set of another recent film.
A production insider for the yet-to-be-released horror-thriller Something Wicked reveals that Murphy was “barely there” for the Oregon shoot of the independent film, which is slated for release next year. The source says that Murphy was barely able to film her scenes, would lose focus mid-sentence while filming, and would “go in and out of consciousness between takes.”
The source adds that Murphy’s character, a therapist to the two main characters, had to be rewritten due to her erratic behavior.
Murphy was found in a state of cardiac arrest by her mother at the actress’ Los Angeles home early Sunday morning, and was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 10:04 a.m.
According to TMZ, Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, stated at the hospital that he preferred that an autopsy not be performed, but the Los Angeles Country Coroner’s Office is expected to perform an autopsy, and police are expected to launch an investigation into the actress’ death.

From what I’ve read, the husband was a real winner; I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes out that he somehow contributed to her death in some way.
maybe she was doing drugs and doesnt want the world to remember her from dying from drugs but from her acting abilities !!!

Maybe he was feeding her drugs and he doesn’t want the world to remember him for that.
Dude had to be rushed to the hospital for as-yet-unexplained circumstances over the Thanksgiving weekend. Should be very interesting to see how this all plays out.

kind of hard to “feed” adult people drugs don’t you think?
I’ve known Brittany Murphy since I worked with her on Clueless and continued to be acquainted with her over the past several years. She is a lovely young woman, full of grace, kindness and was a ray of sunshine on every movie set or charity event that I’ve ever encountered with her. I’m deeply saddened and shocked by her death. I’m also angry at the insensitive comments left by some anonymous people accusing her of drug use. Brittany had health issues in the past with diabetes from my understanding, so I would please ask restraint before accusations. I would ask that people be respectful of the family, especially her fantastic mother, Sharon. My prayers go out to Brittany and her loved ones during this horrible tragedy. God bless you Brittany, you are already tremendously loved and missed.

Don’t usually write on forums but feel it is a shame that people are jumping to conclusions without any facts. It is a sad state of society.
Grief takes everyone differently let not try and surmise why people respond the way they do.
By all accounts Britney was blessed with a loving family. Regardless of the circumstances my heart goes out to them. What a sudden and tragic loss to lose someone with their lives before them

With all due respect Cheryl,while I don’t advocate the insensitive comments,half of Hollywood is addicted to pain meds. In fact, according to reports from the EMS workers that were on the scene,there were many presciption bottles found all over the home. Legally prescibed or not, how many young celebrities have to die tragically before Hollywood recognizes that a problem DOES exist?!
l saw the prophecy given by a nigerian, Prophet T.B joshua through EMMANUEL T.V exactly the way he said it ,he saw the death of a young woman – famous all over the world – that she died suddenly of heart failure.
Clearly, this woman had no one who loved her. Her mother clearly didn’t love her except when she was a “skinny starlet” and contributed to her eating disorder and prescription drug problem and clearly her husband and she were enjoying a life of partying and drugs.
All these reports about her “passing out in between takes” on movie sets and the very OBVIOUS photos where she looks like she’s next to death.
Her family/husband clearly knew she had a problem and were enabling her to continue it. What a shock (sarcasm intended) another “starlet” with a big drug problem and an eating disorder. Honestly, this is always the story and all the family cares about is covering their own asses. That much is clear.
No one who is “innocent” refuses an autopsy. An excuse that it’s because of “religious reasons” is ridiculous too. If they really WERE religious, they wouldn’t feel fine with destroying one’s body with prescription drugs and probably diet pills. She’s clearly just another drug-addict who also happened to be an actress.
Maybe the “stars” will start realizing that they are NOT anymore immune to overdose and death than Elvis, Marilyn, Jim Morrison, or even Michael. Why do the famous still seem to not grasp this concept? You are NOT invincible and you will die as nothing more than a strung-out druggie if you continue to live your life as one.
It’s sad, but she did it to herself and her supposedly “loving” mother and husband stood by and enabled her to do it. (And apparently are STILL enabling others to do it by feigning innocence about her death.)

What the hell is a ‘history of diabetes?’
It would’ve been highly unlikely that at 32 and in very good shape that she would’ve had type 2 diabetes and considering she had no children she couldn’t have had gestational diabetes so that leaves Type 1. Which, once you got it, you’ve got it for life. There is no way she could’ve had a ‘history’ of diabetes.
