Report: Gavin Rossdale's Alleged Former Male Lover Speaks Out

Did Bush man Gavin Rossdale have a relationship with another male singer back in the free-wheeling 80s?

In Touch magazine reports that Peter Robinson—better known as "Calling Your Name" singer Marilyn—has broken his silence about his supposed affair with Gwen Stefani's husband.

"He was the love of my life," Robinson says of Rossdale, pictured above right with the singer.

Though Culture Club singer Boy George—who frequented the London club scene with Marilyn back in the day—made the claim that Rossdale and Marilyn were an item in his 1995 autobiography, Take It Like a Man, Rossdale pooh-poohed the allegation.

"I wasn't dating Marilyn," Rossdale retorted. "We were, and still are, good friends."

Marilyn sided with Rossdale's version of events at the time, but now says that he bit his tongue for the sake of Gavin's then-ascending career.

"He was just becoming successful in America,” the vocalist says. "I agreed to lie against every grain of my being."

"We were together five years," he adds. "But it felt like 40."

honestly, that's gross. for me, it'll be hard accepting that my hubby once had an affair with a man.. tsk! i have nothing against homosexuals or bisexuals, i'm against their ACTIONS. that's it.

If there was a 5-year relationship, I want to know how it was hidden for so long. You'd think more than one person (Boy George) would have known about it and come forward.

And why is Marylin coming forward with this info now? Why wait so long, especially after you've already publicly said otherwise? What purpose does it serve now?

I don't know if it's true or not, but this whole thing does seem rather suspicious to me.
